A-Muse Design Challenge #4.. Punch it up!
So, in my continuing quest to win a weekly prize from A-Muse-A-Palooza here's my entry for this week's challenge- to use a punch in the design. Here, the scalloped oval. The ribbon is from Michael's (or Joann's) and the paper is a Easter paper from Archievers. I just love both the bunny line stamp and the "peeps" sentiment (both A Muse of course). Inside, I have the chocolate bunny stamp. Love those A Muse! The oval is actually just on white but I shaded it pink/purple with simmer chalk and penciled in the grass.
I used these little cards (it's only about 3 inches square) in my easter baskets as placecards for Easter dinner. Everyone loved 'em and my sister says her's is still hanging around her apartment.
Always fun to revise a past design idea!
Enjoy! And don't forget-- anyone can enter a card in the design challenges for A-Muse-A-Paloosa!

Another one for Challenge #3
Here's the second card for this week's design challenge. I really love how this one turned out. A friend rides a scooter and I've been wanted to send her a card- this will be perfect. The stamp is Nadia (A muse) and sentiment is by Savvystamps. The dotted paper is Lollia by Margot Elena. Inside, I love the sentiment.. "simply because you are you" by American Art Stamps.
I have a recurring illness that has been in full swing this week. While stamp usually is a joyful experience, sitting upright is really painful now so I'm happy just to have gotten these done!
A-Muse Design Challenge #3
Well, the challenge this week was to make a card using the sketch provided on the A-Muse blog page (click here). I thought it wasn't as much fun to be given the exact layout but in the end, it's been a long week, I've been very ill and it was freeing to not have to think about layout.
Tonight, during the season finale of Brothers and Sisters, I did 2 cards. Here's the first: It's the flower cart (A Muse of course) with flower paper by Anna Griffin and ribbons from Michaels.

A-Muse-A-Palooza 2007
Did I mention that I'm starting my blog because of A-Muse-A-Palooza? Many of you may have received a card from me, but you didn't know the stamp company that produced the logo? It very well might have been A-Muse Art Stamps! Love 'em! They are smaller images that make for more simple, dare I say more refined designs. Now, I still love me a good Penny Black stamp, but I've definitely been loving A Muse. This "event" is an interesting way to connect with stampers (something I really haven't done with others outside my family) and see lots of great posted designs. I'm enjoying it! And heck, maybe I'll win one of those drawing yet!

Well, here goes...
I've never had a blog so I'm not sure exactly how this works.... but a-a-w-w-a-y we go! Perhaps last summer as I was travelling about, it would have been more practical than clogging up everyone's email in-box. But, I'm never sure who reads these things.
I'm starting my blog in connection with A-Muse-A-Palooza Click here! A Muse Artstamps is doing a 10-week long contest before they debut the new stuff in July. In anticipation, there's weekly design challenges and random drawing for cool stuff. And, I'm always in line for "cool stuff."
So, I'll post my cards, pictures and random thoughts along the way!
Enjoy!!
